Alivexis, Inc. (CEO: Roy S. Kimura, COO: Kazuki Ohno; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; formerly known as Modulus Discovery, Inc.) has received notice that Astellas Pharma Inc. will exercise its option to license a novel small molecule compound identified through their joint drug discovery collaboration. 

The small molecule compounds were discovered using Alivexis’s proprietary ModBind™ computational platform for a novel target selected by Astellas. The collaboration aims to accelerate the identification of small molecule therapeutics through a fully integrated approach combining in silico drug discovery with experimental validation.

As part of the collaboration, Alivexis led discovery effortsand assay development. The compound subject to this option exercise represents a significant milestone in the partnership, demonstrating the potential of Alivexis’s platform to rapidly generate drug candidates to novel targets.

Alivexis’s approach to computational drug discovery contributes to improving the efficiency and success rate of early-stage therapeutic development.
