Qoly Corporation, a medtech company developing robotic technology to support microsurgery, has completed a JPY 1.8 billion Series A financing, co-led by FTI and MedVenture Partners. Tomohiro Anzai, Representative Partner at FTI, has been appointed as an Outside Director, and Tomoyo Mori, Associate at FTI, has been appointed as Auditor.
With this financing, Qoly will accelerate its product development to enable the clinical adoption of innovative robotic solutions that advance microsurgery.
Microsurgery is a surgical technique performed under a microscope to treat fine anatomical structures such as nerves and lymphatic vessels. Because these procedures require highly specialized technical skill and extensive experience, access can be constrained by the limited number of surgeons trained to perform microsurgery at the highest level.
Qoly is a newly formed company aiming to expand access to advanced microsurgical care by combining robotics with practical, precise, and safe system design, building in part on technologies originating from Sony’s medical robotics research.
We are pleased to welcome Qoly to the FTI portfolio and look forward to partnering with the team as they advance the development and commercialization of microsurgery support robotics.
