June 30, 2025 — Fast Track Initiative, Inc. (FTI) has completed a follow-on investment in Global Vascular Inc. (President and CEO: Kenta Bito; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan), a medical device company advancing the BioStealth™ drug-eluting stent (DES) platform. This investment is part of Global Vascular’s Series B financing round, which raised a total of JPY 1 billion.

Global Vascular is developing a proprietary DES specifically engineered for the below-the-knee (BTK) segment—an area with limited treatment options for patients suffering from advanced peripheral arterial disease (PAD). The BioStealth™ platform is engineered to reduce foreign body responses implantation, aiming to improve long-term vessel patency and safety for high-risk PAD patients.

Proceeds from the Series B financing will enable Global Vascular to initiate first-in-human clinical trials in Japan, a key milestone on the path to  regulatory approval of its BTK stent delivery system incorporating the BioStealth™ technology. Following successful GLP-compliant preclinical studies completed in 2024, the company is now executing a global clinical, regulatory and commercialization strategy with initial focus on the Japanese market.

FTI’s continued support reflects its commitment to backing transformative medical technologies that address significant unmet needs. As the burden of PAD increases globally, innovative platforms like BioStealth™ represent a critical opportunity to improve vascular intervention outcomes and expand treatment options for underserved patient populations.
