Sonire Therapeutics, a U.S. based clinical stage medical device company developing high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for non invasive cancer treatment, announced the close of a $18 million Series A financing. Proceeds will support Sonire’s clinical development and U.S. regulatory progress, following the company’s FDA Breakthrough Device Designation in 2024, and advance global commercialization efforts.
Sonire’s next generation HIFU therapy system integrates real time imaging guidance with proprietary technologies designed to improve visualization, precision, and workflow. The company is advancing clinical development in pancreatic cancer, including completion of its SUNRISE I randomized controlled trial in Japan, and plans to accelerate clinical programs in the U.S.
“Sonire’s differentiated approach is well positioned to bring meaningful benefit to patients globally. We look forward to continuing our support of the team as they advance U.S. clinical development” – Koji Yasuda, Principal at FTI
